Cushman & Wakefield Asset Management is based in Tokyo. It is a fully licensed, full service Investment Management firm with Investment Advisory license (toshi jogen dairi gyo) and Investment Management license (toshi unyo gyo). The business has been active since the start of the property fund management industry in Japan in 2001 and has structured over 100 SPCs irrespective of sectors, and has close relationships with the major industry players including lenders, trustees and property managers in Japan. The business originates from Pacific Investment Corporation, the private fund asset management subsidiary of Japanese real estate giant Pacific Holdings Group, which became the current C&W AM platform through the acquisition in 2009.
