  • Garattini joins to lead DTZ Investors' Capital Formation strategy across existing and new investor relationships
  • Appointment follows the recent leadership succession that saw Simon Down become CEO and Chris Sim appointed Chief Investment Officer
  • Garattini will start on 5 October 2026 reporting directly to the CEO and joins the DTZ Investors Executive Committee

LONDON, 10 September 2026 – DTZ Investors has today announced the appointment of Nicholas Garattini to the newly created role of Head of Capital Formation, effective 5 October 2026.

The appointment follows DTZ Investors' recent leadership succession, which saw Simon Down succeed Chris Cooper as CEO and Chris Sim appointed as Chief Investment Officer, both effective 1 September 2026. Appointing a dedicated Head of Capital Formation reflects the firm's continued investment in its investor relations and business development capability, supporting the way DTZ Investors interacts with existing – and targets new – investors as it drives growth across the business.

Nicholas will join the firm’s Executive Committee and be responsible for leading DTZ Investors' capital raising strategy across its key focus sectors of Essential Real Estate, Urban Logistics and Living, deepening relationships with existing institutional investors and broadening the firm's reach with new capital sources both in the UK and internationally.

Nicholas joins DTZ Investors from Generali Real Estate, where he held various roles, most recently as Head of Real Estate Product & Solutions and brings 20 years of experience in institutional real estate asset and investment management, indirect investments, fundraising and investor relations, working with investors in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is relocating to London to take up the new role.

Simon Down, CEO, DTZ Investors, said: "Nicholas's appointment is the final step completing our leadership team following the changes we announced earlier this year. Capital Formation is central to our ambitions for the business, and Nicholas’ combination of experience, drive and broad knowledge of the global capital landscape will be key in strengthening how we engage with our existing investor base and access new sources of capital as we continue to grow. I'm delighted to welcome Nicholas to the team."

Nicholas Garattini, Head of Capital Formation, DTZ Investors, said: "DTZ Investors has a great platform with a top tier investor-base and a fantastic track record of delivering long-term out-performance, backed by the global knowledge and reach of Cushman & Wakefield. I'm excited to be joining at a pivotal moment for the business and looking forward to working closely with Simon, Chris and the wider team to build on that platform and support our investors as we grow the business, both domestically and internationally."
