We are delighted to announce that King Street, Manchester has been shortlisted for Property Week’s 2023 Placemaking Award. The awards, which will take place on 13^th June recognise excellence in Placemaking, including the improvement of a destination’s perception with the public and its sustainable economic use.

Throughout 2022, DTZ Investors engaged with the wider Manchester community in order to create a cohesive and improved brand identity for the King Street district which informed a data-led place activation strategy, engaging audiences both locally and nationally.

A number of steps were undertaken to provide a brand proposition, establish clear lines of communications between multiple stakeholders due to DTZ Investors not being sole landlords, bring tenants together with renewed sense of community, show potential occupiers a strengthened vision for the future and create attractive reasons for people to visit. The programme was undertaken with the support of Lyons Thompson Letts, Orme Property, DS.Emotion and Roland Dransfield PR.

We are delighted that the improvements to King Street have been recognised and to be shortlisted for such a socially valuable award. We look forward to the award ceremony and wish our congratulations to all other shortlisted nominees.
