Professional Expertise
Yoshiyuki Tanaka is Executive Director, leading C&W Capital Markets in Japan. He has over 20 years of real estate experience including investment brokerage sales, consulting for the Japanese holdings of global portfolio companies, strategic investment advisory and real estate securitization. He led over USD7.4 billion transaction volume in his career. In addition, in 2009 he led the merger of a well-known asset management company holding approximately USD2 billion in AUM, which contributed to the business expansion of asset management in C&W. In 2019 he manages the AM platform with a track record of over USD10 billion in AUM. Yoshiyuki was largely instrumental in forming a strategic partnership with Sojitz Corporation leading to C&W’s role as support sponsor to the Nippon REIT listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2014, which currently surpasses USD2 bn in AUM as of 2019.
Prior to joining C&W, Yoshiyuki started his career at Mitsubishi Trust & Banking, where he was responsible for real estate brokerage and especially for real estate securitization business from when the SPC law was enacted in 1998.
